The Boys have come together for an occasion both bitter and sweet. We’ve decided to put the podcast to bed for the time being, which doesn’t mean we’ll never be back, but it does mean that we will be taking a break from podcasting for at least the near future. For this love letter to all of our loyal and dedicated fans, we’ve concocted a delightful (and secret!) list of games for Noob Talk Radio’s Top 10 Most Anticipated Games of 2026. In addition to this cornucopia of gaming anticipation, we’re also coming at you with a What We’ve Been Playing for All of 2025 special edition where we discuss the titles that captured our imaginations the most in this past year. As always, stay frosty, and don’t forget to please be excited.

Your favorite co-host Tieg Henderson is on vacation, but fear not, loyal noobs, for it is our great pleasure to bring you a very special, just-in-time-for-Christmas collaboration with our esteemed friend Escape Vector from the Escape Vector Podcast! One thing we have in common is our mutual love of indie gaming, so we each brought a list of the titles we are most excited for in 2026, discuss release timeframes, and talk about how they stand out from the pack. Enjoy the holidays, stay frosty, and as always, please be excited.
If you enjoyed our guest host, be sure to check out the Escape Vector podcast where they cover interviews with creators (including Watt, designer of Cloud Empress), actual plays of Mothership and Cloud Empress, adventure module reviews, and more!

We take a break from our regularly scheduled news episodes to bring you an extra special, just-in-time-for-the-holidays Arc Raiders discussion cast. It’s a rare gaming occurence indeed when both of your friendly neighborhood Noob Talk Radio hosts are playing the same game at the same time and loving every second of it. We sit down to chat about all the things that make Arc Raiders perhaps the show’s game of the year. Please do enjoy.

Arc Raiders has released and seems to have been met with a delightfully surprising amount of commercial, critical, and consumer acclaim. The Boys discuss sales numbers, the game, and the company’s roadmap. Meanwhile, Elden Right Nightreign has announced the imminent arrival of DLC for its multiplayer hit revealed out of Sony’s State of Play Japan, GTA VI’s delay surprises no one, and Sony’s dynamic pricing strategy on the PSN store causes concern. In other news, an old podcast favorite (well, for Josh at least) by the name of Pioner seems to be shaping up well with a free open beta coming to PCs near you. Please be excited.

The Boys are back with a breakdown of Sony’s recent State of Play (spoilers, Saros is looking great), as well as some news! The government turns to Pokemon in a divisive move to promote its interests, creating much shock, some horror, and also a not-inconsequential level of laughs, while we discuss a recent report from gamesindustry.biz regarding the impact of television adaptations on video game sales, and reactions to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake rumors of big changes to the game’s structure, removing all animus segments. Please be excited.

In a typically incomplete yet heartfelt attempt to answer this age-old question, the Boys are back to discuss all the hottest new titles from our favorite video games showcase. Mina The Hollower, Hollow Knight: Silksong, Valor Mortis, Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2, Project Spectrum, Neo Berlin 2087, Resident Evil 9 Requiem, and more! Please do enjoy.

The Boys return from hiatus to discuss the most important news of the entire year in gaming, which is by virtue of clear and democratic unanimous vote the announcement of Stalker 2’s imminent release on PlayStation platforms this very fall in the glorious year of 2025. In other, much more unimportant news, Circana reporting for the month of May and June indicate massive success for Elden Ring Nightreign, as well as unusual sales spikes for Star Wars Battlefront 2, Xbox begins age verification checks, video game actor’s strike officially ends, Primal Planet has launched, Killing Floor 3 looks delightful, and we’re still excited for Dying Light: The Beast. Please be excited.

It would appear Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2 developer Games Workshop is both highly-profitable and nice to its employees? We discuss. Newswhile, Sony is struggling to get its fledgling live-service forays to come to fruition with Marathon’s marketing allegedly canceled alongside art theft fiasco, and Jade Raymond abandons ship at Fairgames. In other news, revisionism in the Stalker ports, Anatine is a dope new indie where you play as a duck, Atomfall is doing fantastically well, and Elden Ring Nightreign is upon us. Please do enjoy.
